San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Schedule

san-diego-comic-con Comic-Con San Diego, just saying those words conjures images of sweaty nerds herded like cattle around merchandise booths and waiting hours in line for chance encounters with a veritable alphabet of ‘-lister’ celebs in attendance. And I love every minute of it.

The nerd-gasm that is comic-con begins next month. Here is a rundown of all the TV and Film panels and presentations should you be lucky enough to attend.

TV: “Beware the Batman”, “Community”, “Sons of Anarchy”, “Supernatural” and “Under the Dome”.

A breakdown of that is unknown and unscheduled thanks to Garth at DarkHorizons

UNSCHEDULED
PBS will do their first ever panel this year at Comic Con for the BBC’s “Sherlock”. Stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman will NOT be there, but co-creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss will be on hand and likely debut the first footage from the third season due to air around the New Year.

CURRENTLY UNKNOWN
While they won’t be showing off “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,” Warners Brothers is still expected to show up to push “300: Rise of an Empire,” “Godzilla,” “The Seventh Son,” “Gravity” and “The Lego Movie”. If we’re really lucky there’ll be some “Mad Max: Fury Road” or “Jupiter Ascending” footage, but that possibility seems slim.

For Paramount, Brett Ratner’s “Hercules: The Thracian Wars” starring Dwayne Johnson and the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” reboot seem the best fit, though with both currently in production it might be difficult. The “Anchorman” sequel, the “Jack Ryan” reboot and Darren Aronofsky’s “Noah” are also possibilities.

Fox could steal the show in terms of star power if most of the cast of “X-Men: Days of Future Past” shows up. Bryan Singer is a Comic Con darling and usually has some great goods to show off. “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” “The Maze Runner” and last minute pushes for “The Wolverine” and “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” seem likely.

Along with “The World’s End,” Universal will also likely push “Kick-Ass 2,” “Riddick” and could hopefully unveil a first look at the long delayed “47 Ronin”.

Dreamworks Animation is likely to push “How to Train Your Dragon 2” and “Mr. Peabody and Sherman”, less likely is Disney showing up to promote “Frozen” which they’ll likely save for D23 in August.
