Box Office Winners July 12-14, 2013

Despicable-Me-2-movie-trailer

The anticipated battle between ‘Grown Ups 2’ and ‘Pacific Rim’ for box office domination was spoiled by little yellow minions as ‘Despicable Me 2’ dominated the box office with over $44 Million dollars this weekend. This is the 3rd weekend in a row for ‘Me 2’, a record matched only by ‘Fast & Furious 6’ earlier this year. ‘The Lone Ranger’ meanwhile sank an (un)impressive 62% from its previous week, coming in 5th. Oh and the battle between grown ups and giant robots? Seem the grown ups have won with an estimated $42.5 Million over ‘Rim’s’ $38.3 Million. Meanwhile ‘The Heat’ seems to be showing some legs with a $14 Million dollar haul this weekend, the comedy has made just over $112 Million dollars in total so far.
