Box Office Winners August 9-11, 2013

‘Elysium’ won out a very competitive weekend where 4 new releases won the top 4 spots in the box office, the film took in $30.4 Million (Sony had estimates at 30-35 million). ‘We’re the Millers’ came in a very close second with $26.5 Million dollars, while Disney’s ‘Cars’ spinoff ‘Planes’ flew in at $22 Million, ‘Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters’ came in 4th at $14.6 Million. Last weeks winner ‘2 Guns’ dropped a disappointing 60% to come in at 5th place with $11 Million.
