‘Lee Daniels’ The Butler’ won a weaker than expected box office weekend with $17 Million, ‘We’re the Millers’ surprised by moving up in its third weekend in theatres. Newbies ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ and ‘The World’s End’ both disappointed by raking in $9.3 and $8.9 Million respectively. Disney’s ‘Planes’ rounded out the top 5 with $8.5 Million. Last week’s number 2 film ‘Kick Ass 2’ was anything but with an almost 70% nosedive in box office returns to end up at the very bottom of the top 10 box office for the weekend.
