Box Office Winners February 7-9 2014

The Lego Movie

As expected Lego and Warner Bros. ruled the box office this weekend as 2014’s first true blockbuster ‘The Lego Movie’ soared past analyst’s expectations and earned $69 Million dollars this weekend. George Clooney’s ‘Monuments Men’ impressed with $22 Million, enough to earn it second place. ‘Ride Along’ is still fairing well and earned an additional $9.3 Million this weekend, it recently crossed the $100 Million dollar domestic mark this weekend. ‘Frozen’ still has legs and is in 4th place with another $6.9 Million, the film has earned a whopping $398 Million dollars and is now the 3rd biggest film of 2013. Meanwhile the ‘That Awkward Moment’ slipped into 5th place with $5.5 Million. The other newbie to make the top ten list, ‘Vampire Academy’ got failing grades and earned only $4.1 Million dollars to come in 7th. See the entire top ten list below.
