Box Office Winners March 7-9 2014

'300: Rise of an Empire' Trailer Images

For Sparta..again! The Greeks ruled the box office this weekend as “300: Rise of an Empire” took first place, beating out the other newbie “Mr. Peabody & Sherman” with an impressive $45 Million dollars this weekend. “Sherman” meanwhile took in $32.5 Million, a meager looking haul considering the sizeable $145 reported budget of the film. Last week’s number one film “Non-Stop” dropped to number 3 with $15 Million while the ever impressive “The LEGO Movie” took in another $11 Million to up its haul to $224.9 Million domestic. “Son of God” rounds out the top 5 with an even $10 Million dollars.
