Box Office Winners June 6-8 2014

The Fault in our Stars

Love trumps all, it seems, as “The Fault in our Stars” took the weekend box office with $48 Million, besting Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt’s “Edge of Tomorrow”. Coming in second was last week’s winner “Maleficent” with $33 Million while Cruise/Blunt “Tomorrow” came in 3rd with $29 Million. The X-Men are still going strong, adding another $14 Million dollars to their domestic total of $189 Million and coming in 4th while “A Million Ways to Die in the West” took 5th with $7 Million, the film has been a disappointment for Universal, grossing only $30 Million domestic to date. Meanwhile, looking at yearly totals, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” has now beat out “The LEGO Movie” to become the biggest domestic box office movie of the year.
