Two LA cops were able to slay hundreds of dragons over the weekend, and completely surprise all box office forecasters at the same time. “22 Jump Street” beat out “How to Train Your Dragon 2” by $10 Million dollars domestic this weekend, taking the top spot with $60 Million compared to “Dragon” with $50 Million. “Maleficent” came in 3rd with a $19 Million dollar haul while “Edge of Tomorrow” desperately attempts to crawl to reach at least 35% of its reported production costs of $178 Million with an additional haul of $16 Million, the film has made $56 Million domestic so far. Meanwhile “The Fault in our Stars” has nosedived from it’s number one spot with a $15.7 Million dollar weekend, the film dropped almost 70% in one week.
