To celebrate the anticipated release of ‘Thor: The Dark World’ on February 25th Disney has released 3 additional clips from the film (4 popped up yesterday). Including the initial attack on Asgard by Malekith and his troops, with the awesome scene of Idris Elba’s Heimdall taking out a scout ship single handed, is there nothing Elba CAN NOT do? ‘Thor: The Dark World’ picks up the story after ‘Thor’ and ‘The Avengers’, when Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) is targeted by the denizens of the dark world of Svartalfheim, Thor sets out on a quest to protect her at all costs. The film is due out November 8th.

Did you know? At the end of September 2012, Jaimie Alexander was injured on the London film set: “It was raining, it was dark outside, it was like 5 in the morning – and I went down a metal staircase and slipped and slipped a disc in my thoracic spine and chipped 11 of my vertebrae. I knocked my left shoulder out of place and tore my rhomboid on my right side… It took me out of filming for a month!”

Pacific Rim

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes–a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)–who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past.
